Meet Laura
Hi, I'm Laura. A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and owner of Thrive Therapy in Oakville, ON.

Education
My journey to becoming a therapist began when I was young, always showing an interest in people's stories, and valuing deep, authentic connections. I knew a career in mental health was what I wanted and I studied Psychology in University. But life had other plans! After university, I found myself embarking on a 20-year career in Human Resources. Despite a long and happy career, I knew something was missing - purpose.
So here I am, right back where I knew I belonged. After completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I started Thrive Therapy. My aim is to offer a safe space to support others toward self-discovery and growth. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, life transitions, parenthood, burnout, or just don't feel like yourself, I'm here to help. I bring with me my experience as a mother of three, juggling the demands of life, changing careers and my own struggles with body image and disordered eating.

I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). See more credentials below!
